Privacy policy

Effective October 9, 2026

This site is operated by LaFleur Marketing, LLC, doing business as LaFleur Legal Marketing (“LaFleur”, “we”, “us” and “our”). This policy explains how we collect, use and disclose data through lafleurlegalmarketing.com (the “Site”) and the rights you may have over that data.

We have grounded our approach to data privacy in our core values: commit to excellence, invest in what matters, value relationships, and act in good faith. We do our best to follow applicable privacy laws and to treat your data with the care it deserves.

In short

  • When you request a growth plan, we use what you send to respond to you, and we keep it in our customer relationship management system, HubSpot.
  • On this Site, Google Tag Manager loads analytics, advertising, session-recording and visitor-identification tools from Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Microsoft, HubSpot and Apollo.io. They use cookies and similar technologies. The section on cookies explains each one and how to opt out.
  • We do not sell your form submissions or contact details for money. Advertising and visitor-identification tags may count as “selling” or “sharing” under some state laws; the California notice below explains what that means and how to opt out.
  • To ask about your data or exercise your rights, email hello@lafleur.one.

Data we collect

Some of the data we collect is personal data: information that, alone or combined with other information, identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you.

Data you give us

When you request a growth plan through a form on this Site, we ask for:

  • Your name, work email address and firm name (required)
  • Your phone number (optional)
  • Your firm’s primary practice area and the number of attorneys at the firm (optional)
  • A message about what you want your marketing to do (optional)

With the form, we also record which form you used and the address of the page you sent it from. Google’s tag may detect the email address and phone number you enter in a form and send them to Google in hashed form, to measure our advertising. HubSpot’s collected forms feature may also capture what you submit (see the section on cookies).

If you email or call us, we receive your contact details and whatever you choose to tell us. If you make a privacy request, we keep a record of it so we can respond and show that we did.

We do not ask for “special” or “sensitive” personal data, such as government identification numbers, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or other beliefs, health information, criminal background or trade union membership. Please do not include it in a message to us. This Site has no comments, forums, accounts or other places where visitors post content publicly.

Data collected automatically

When you visit this Site, our host and the tools described under cookies receive technical data from your browser, including:

  • Your Internet Protocol (IP) address, and the approximate location that can be derived from it
  • Your browser, device type and operating system
  • The pages you view, the date and time of your visit, and the page that referred you
  • How you use pages: links you click (including email and phone links), how far you scroll, form submissions and, through Microsoft Clarity, recordings of your mouse movements, clicks and scrolling
  • Identifiers stored in cookies and similar technologies, and advertising click identifiers when you arrive from an ad

When you send a form, we pass your IP address and, if your browser has one, HubSpot’s visitor cookie to HubSpot with your submission, so the request is linked to your earlier visits to this Site. HubSpot’s cookie is set separately on each website, so your visits to other LaFleur websites, such as lafleur.marketing, are linked to the same record only if you have also identified yourself there, for example by sending a form.

How we use data

We use data for the purposes for which it was collected, as described at the point of collection or as obvious from the context. We may also use it to:

  • Respond to your request, including reviewing your firm’s website and search presence and contacting you to schedule a call
  • Operate, secure and improve this Site, and protect it from spam and abuse
  • Contact you about LaFleur’s services, events and insights. You can opt out at any time with the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us
  • Measure how visitors use this Site and how well our advertising works, and show LaFleur ads to people who have visited this Site
  • Carry out internal business purposes, such as audits, data analysis and corporate transactions
  • Protect the rights, safety, property or operations of LaFleur, you or others
  • Comply with law and respond to lawful requests from public authorities
  • Tell you about material changes to this policy

We will not license or publish your personal data, and we do not sell your form submissions or contact details to third parties for money.

Some privacy laws require a lawful basis for using personal data. Where they apply, we rely on:

  • Legitimate interests: operating and securing this Site and our business, responding to inquiries, and marketing our services, where those interests are not overridden by your interests, rights or freedoms
  • Consent, where the law requires it or where we ask for it at the point of collection. You can withdraw consent at any time
  • Legal obligations, where we must process data to comply with law

If you share “special” or “sensitive” personal data with us although we did not ask for it, we will process it only as applicable law allows, and you can ask us to delete it.

Who we share data with

We disclose personal data only as described in this policy:

  • Service providers that run this Site and our business for us, under agreements that limit their use of the data: Cloudflare (hosting, content delivery, database, file storage, security and request logs) and HubSpot (customer relationship management and email)
  • Analytics, advertising and visitor-identification providers whose tags run on this Site: Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads), Meta, LinkedIn, Microsoft (Clarity), HubSpot (analytics and ads) and Apollo.io. These providers receive data directly from your browser and may use it for their own purposes, such as building advertising audiences or business contact databases, under their own privacy policies
  • Our affiliated companies, such as our subsidiary LaFleur One, Inc.
  • Parties to a corporate transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, including in bankruptcy
  • Public authorities and others, where we believe it is necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect our rights, privacy, safety or property or those of others, or pursue available remedies

We do not share your form submission with our clients.

Our service providers are based in the United States and may process data in other countries. By using this Site, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred outside your country of residence.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. In this policy, “cookies” also covers similar technologies such as pixels, tags, local storage, scripts and device fingerprinting (HubSpot’s script, for example, can use fingerprinting), whether or not they store anything in your browser. Session cookies expire when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.

This Site’s own pages set no cookies for visitors. The cookies on this Site come from the tools below, which load through Google Tag Manager on lafleurlegalmarketing.com. Google Tag Manager is the same container LaFleur uses on lafleur.marketing. We do not currently show a cookie banner, so these tools run when the page loads unless your browser blocks them.

Analytics

  • Google Analytics measures visits, pages viewed, form submissions, email and phone link clicks, scrolling and engagement. Cookies include _ga and _ga_*. Google’s tag may detect the email address and phone number you enter in a form and send them to Google in hashed form, to measure our advertising. Google signals is turned on, so Google may associate your visits with your Google account, if you are signed in, for advertising reports. Google Analytics and Google Ads may also link your visits across LaFleur websites, such as lafleur.marketing and this Site. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services and the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Microsoft Clarity records how visitors move through pages (mouse movements, clicks and scrolling) as session recordings and heatmaps, so we can find what is confusing or broken. Cookies include _clck and _clsk, and Microsoft may set its own cookies such as MUID. See the Microsoft privacy statement.
  • HubSpot tracks page views and ties them to a visitor cookie, hubspotutk, with others such as __hstc, __hssc and __hssrc. When you send a form, your submission is linked to that history. HubSpot’s collected forms feature may also capture what you submit in forms on this Site and send it to HubSpot. See the cookies HubSpot sets and the HubSpot privacy policy.

Advertising

These tags measure whether our ads lead to visits and requests, and let us show LaFleur ads to people who have visited this Site on other websites and apps (retargeting). The providers can combine this data with what they know about you from other sites and services, including across browsers and devices.

  • Google Ads, with a conversion linker that stores ad click identifiers in cookies such as _gcl_au and _gcl_aw. Manage ads in My Ad Center.
  • Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram), with cookies such as _fbp and _fbc. See About Facebook Ads and the Meta Cookies Policy.
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag, with cookies such as li_fat_id and LinkedIn’s own cookies. Opt out in LinkedIn’s retargeting settings.
  • HubSpot ads pixel, loaded by HubSpot’s tracking code, which lets us build ad audiences from visitors through HubSpot’s ads tools.

You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative. These tools use cookies to remember your choice, so if you delete cookies you will need to opt out again.

Visitor identification

  • Apollo.io website visitor tracking matches visits to companies, and sometimes to people, in Apollo’s business contact database, using data such as your IP address, so we can see which firms visit this Site. See the Apollo privacy policy. To ask Apollo to remove your information from its database, use Apollo’s removal request page.

Security and site editors

Cloudflare, which hosts this Site, may set strictly necessary cookies (such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance) when it checks whether traffic comes from a bot. People who sign in to edit this Site receive cookies that keep them signed in and remember editing preferences; ordinary visitors never receive these.

Managing cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and some block tracking tools by default. If you block cookies, this Site still works, including the growth-plan form.

This Site does not use Google Fonts from Google’s servers: its fonts are served from our own domain. Podcast pages link to SoundCloud and other listening services but do not embed their players, so those services receive data only if you follow a link. Where an episode has a player on this Site, the audio plays from this Site or from the audio host linked on the page, and nothing loads until you press play.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from LaFleur marketing emails at any time with the unsubscribe link in any of them. We may still contact you as needed to respond to a request you made.

Depending on your country or U.S. state of residence, you may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal data, and get a copy of it
  • Correct personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Delete personal data we hold about you
  • Opt out of targeted advertising and of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal data
  • Restrict or object to our processing, or withdraw consent you gave
  • Appeal our decision on your request, and complain to a data protection or privacy authority

To exercise a right, email hello@lafleur.one or call (888) 222-1512. Your request must give us enough information to verify that you are the person whose data we hold, or their authorized agent, and enough detail for us to understand and respond to it. We verify your identity by matching what you give us with data we already hold, and we will tell you if we cannot.

An authorized agent is a person or business you have authorized in writing to act for you. We may deny an agent’s request without proof of that authorization.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Notice to California residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, may give you the rights described above. This notice summarizes how we handle personal information.

Categories we collect and why

  • Identifiers, such as name, email address, phone number, IP address and cookie or advertising identifiers: to respond to requests, run this Site, and for analytics, advertising and identifying which businesses visit
  • Professional information, such as firm name, practice area and firm size: to respond to requests and understand who we serve
  • Internet activity, such as pages viewed, clicks, scrolling and session recordings: for analytics, security and advertising
  • Approximate location derived from IP address: for analytics, security and advertising

We collect this information from you, from your browser and device, and from the providers described above. We do not collect sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you.

Disclosure, sale and sharing

We disclose these categories to the service providers and the analytics, advertising and visitor-identification providers named in this policy. We do not sell personal information for money. The Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and HubSpot advertising tags and Apollo.io’s visitor identification collect data on this Site that those providers may also use for their own purposes. Under California and some other state laws, that may be considered “selling” or “sharing” personal information, including for cross-context behavioral advertising. The categories involved are identifiers, internet activity and approximate location.

To opt out of that selling or sharing, email hello@lafleur.one with the subject “Do not sell or share my personal information”, and use the opt-out tools in the section on cookies. Because these tags run in your browser, blocking them in your browser or with those tools is the most direct way to stop the collection.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

Retention

We keep each category for the periods described under data retention.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

“Do Not Track” is a browser setting that asks websites not to track you. Global Privacy Control is a browser signal that asks websites not to sell or share your personal information. This Site does not currently change its behavior in response to either signal. You can still opt out using the tools and the email address in this policy.

Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes in this policy, unless the law requires or allows a longer period.

  • Form submissions delivered to HubSpot are kept there under our customer relationship management retention practices, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
  • If HubSpot is unavailable when you send a form, we store your submission in our database on Cloudflare until a team member enters it in HubSpot. Stored submissions are deleted automatically about 90 days after we receive them.
  • Our application logs never record the content of your form submission; when a form cannot be delivered, they record only a short error code. Cloudflare keeps request logs, which may include IP addresses, for a limited period for operations and security.
  • Analytics, advertising and session-recording data are kept by each provider under its own retention settings and policies.

Data security

We use reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures to protect data under our control. This Site uses HTTPS to encrypt data in transit. Even so, no transmission over the internet or storage system is completely secure. If you believe data we hold about you has been compromised, contact us right away using the details below.

Visitors outside the United States

This Site is for law firms in the United States, and we do not knowingly target individuals in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. If you are in one of those places and we process your personal data, you may have the rights described above and the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live. Contact us first and we will try to resolve your concern.

Children and minors

This Site is not designed for or directed at anyone under 18, and we ask that minors not use it. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn that we have received data from someone under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Third-party websites

This Site links to websites we do not operate, such as lafleur.marketing, podcast services and the sources cited in our articles. This policy does not cover them, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. A link does not mean we endorse a site’s practices.

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised, and changes take effect when we post them here. We may also email you about changes where we have your address. Please review this policy periodically.
